Overview

IT Center currently stepping rapid steps to uplift the services of information technology in the university to cope with the expectations and vision of the university to get the benefit of the latest technologies in order to provide high quality services for the university staff which will be reflected positively on the educational process and on the role of the university in serving the country and society

Vision: To provide state of the art information technology services that meet the professional needs of the IUTT faculties, students, staff and associated users

Mission: To provide technology-related capabilities that will enable all members of the University to play their part in making IUTT the premier professional university in the country

Data Center Unit

Data Center Unit: It is mainly responsible for managing and ensuring that the data center is working efficiently. It contains all the servers hosting all the services provided by the Center. These servers run the system of the university & the security system.

Networks and Communications Unit

Networks and Communications Unit: It follows-up and monitors the performance of the internal network of the University making sure that all devices are connected to the data center through University network. Any incoming and outgoing communication and its follow-up with the relevant authorities is also the responsibility of the unit.

Technical Support Unit

To become a leading educational center with diverse, high-quality English language instruction committed to programmatic innovation, community engagement, and global citizenry.

Internet & Applications Unit

Internet & Applications Unit: monitoring, maintaining and updating the university website and the IUTT learning management system (LMS) is the main function of this unit. This unit is also responsible for installing and updating the software and all the applications needed to improve the educational process.

Training & Development unit

Training & Development unit:

The Unit has two main functions:

i) It is responsible for developing applications for University departments based on their requirements and needs. Also, there is a specialist team managing the University’s database.

ii) Organizing and monitoring all type of technical courses and workshops that the university provides to its students, staff or other organizations.
