Overview

QAAD, a member of the university community, supports the university in reaching its goal of excellence in teaching, learning, research and public service through the demonstration that the university responsibility for awarding its own degree is being satisfactorily fulfilled.

International University of Technology Twintech believes that all faculty and staff members at IUTT have the right to experience personal growth and development. The purpose for establishing the QAAA was to promote Teaching Excellence by creating and enhancing a well-founded teaching and learning environment at the University. Our workshops, mini-courses, seminars, consulting services and resources to faculty members are all able to enhance their teaching methodologies and strategies.

Oure Mission

To promote Teaching Excellence by addressing the academic and professional needs of faculty members, and also to enable them to be innovative and effective in their teaching. QAAA is seeking the highest quality assurance practices in education, research, and administration through all over the university. Through the maximum investment and usage of the university capabilities and assets and through the active participation of all the university employees to meet the community and the market needs.

Objectives of the Quality Assurance Unit

1. To promote the culture of quality assurance at the university.

2. To improve the educational outputs for the students.

3. To support the different academic programs to achieve its goals.

4. To work on the quality assurance for all university activities especially activities related to the academic programs and scientific research.

5. To prepare the academic programs for the accreditation purposes locally and regionally.

6. To establish the components of academic advising with governing standardized assessment tools.

7. To support the vision of the University of being among top universities in the world.

The Quality Assurance Policy

Goals

(i) to increase accountability and the quality control and assurance structure;

(ii) to enable the acquisition of knowledge about the process to implement the QCA policy;

(iii) to schedule the self-evaluation processes and the external evaluation;

(iv) to establish norms governing the creation and maintenance of databases, making sure the schedule is complied with for the application and collection of the evaluation tools and the respective analysis;

(v) to monitor compliance with the processes;

(vi) to make sure the recommendations are disclosed that result from the evaluation processes as well as to encourage the respective application; to encourage and support the creation of a QCA office in each unit, institute and body.

Guiding Principles

To achieve our mission, The Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Unit will follow the following guiding principles:

Maintain objectivity at all times; rely on business and professional judgment; and adhere to professional standards; Anticipate risks and opportunities for improvement.

Develop a highly motivated professional staff who will contribute to a high level of quality controls and operations, and be sought by management for assignments and career opportunities.

Maintain a strong partnership with the Quality Control Committee, management, and the external auditors to enhance our effectiveness.
